One Deira has a shopping mall atop a metro station, offices and a hotel. It is part of the larger Deira Enrichment Project that includes waterfront residences, shops and restaurants overlooking Dubai Creek. Master developers Ithra Dubai said on Monday that One Deira had been completed, state news agency Wam reported. A decision on when it will open to the public is expected soon. One of the most striking parts of the project is the fact it is connected to the Gold Souq metro station on Dubai’s Green Line. Many cities around the world, such as Tokyo and Hong Kong, have combined shopping centres with transport hubs. Dubai is the latest.
